Who we are.

Alana Wilson’s Helping Hands Village is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that aims to help end the cycle of incarceration through providing mentorship and advocacy as well as programs that help build self-esteem and self-efficacy to children of the incarcerated who may be at-risk of following in their parents’ footsteps. Alana Wilsons Helping Hands Village is dedicated to providing support and resources to children of incarcerated parents. Our goal is to empower and uplift this vulnerable population by offering cultural upliftment, education opportunities, art therapy, community resource navigation assistance, and a supportive mentorship and pen pal program. Through our unique workshops and programs, we aim to help these children thrive and create a brighter future for themselves.

Our mission is to foster inner self-love , through programs aimed at the building up of the whole child. Something that a victim of parental incarceration might not be able to do on their own.

“Parents need to fill a child’s bucket of self-esteem so high, that the rest of the world can’t poke enough holes to drain it dry.”
