Bunnies (Ages 7-9)

Bunnies is a specialized program for children ages 7-9 who have incarcerated parents, alongside their parent or guardian. This initiative provides a therapeutic space where these children and their families can come together to connect with others in similar situations. Guided by a team of experienced Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Psychologists, Bunnies focuses on helping children navigate and understand their complex emotions related to their parent’s incarceration.

The program features interactive activities and group sessions designed to facilitate emotional expression and resilience in a supportive environment. Children engage in creative and therapeutic exercises that assist them in articulating their feelings, building coping skills, and developing a positive self-image. At the same time, caregivers receive support and guidance to better understand and address their child's emotional needs.

Bunnies also creates a community of support, allowing families to bond with others who share their experiences and challenges. This shared connection helps to reduce feelings of isolation and provides both children and parents with valuable peer support. By participating in Bunnies, families gain access to professional resources and develop a network that enhances their emotional well-being and strengthens their relationships.
