Pre-Teens Connect (Ages 10-12)

Pre-Teen Connect is a supportive program designed specifically for pre-teens who have incarcerated parents. This initiative offers a therapeutic space where these young individuals can connect with peers who share similar experiences. Led by a dedicated team of Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs), and Psychologists, Pre-Teen Connect provides a structured environment aimed at helping participants navigate and process their complex emotions.

The program features interactive and therapeutic activities tailored to address the unique emotional needs of pre-teens. Through group discussions, creative exercises, and role-playing, participants are encouraged to express their feelings, build coping strategies, and develop resilience. The activities are designed to foster a sense of community and belonging, allowing pre-teens to understand that they are not alone in their experiences.

In addition to benefiting the children, Pre-Teen Connect offers valuable support to caregivers by equipping them with tools and strategies to better support their child's emotional well-being. The program's holistic approach ensures that both pre-teens and their families gain insights and skills to enhance their emotional health and strengthen their relationships.

By participating in Pre-Teen Connect, children of incarcerated parents gain access to a supportive network of peers and professionals, helping them to work through their feelings in a healthy and constructive manner while fostering a sense of hope and connection.
